Pheasant Relase Pen

As above were trying to do a pen next year all going well. We are thinking of usein site building fences,as we can move them when there let off, There are very few birds in our area,so we are tinking if we had a closed top pen for a year or two while we get poults and release them,then we can use it as a open top release pen,then for the rest of the time we use it. All your input,hints,tips and comments welcome.

Thats the fence type we use but we leave in situe.

Then grind pop holes in the sides, bend mesh round the bottom so nothing can dig in and an electric fence round the outside,

Food, water and some cover in, job done.

All my pens are constructed out of heras fencing dug in about a foot. I used debris netting for the sides and roof. Along with an electric fence system around the bottom at about 9 inches high.

Do you peel that back to let them roost mate?

It's just open at the top on one end mate. Just cut the zip ties and roll it back. So they can fly in and out.

i think those security fences are great. you would think they would stand out a mile but they dont. Once you have a load up its easy to increase the size of the pen just add 10 more and it increases the size of the pen massively, quick and easy.
