Late in on this - but if Laoni doesn't go with what you have written, get in touch and I will write a piece - I have written for the Countryman's Weekly from when her dad owned it and it was called The Shooting News. The antis burned the offices down - and our house and our car, because I was the official photographer for the National Coursing Club and did the Waterloo reports (and other coursing trophies across the country) since React Fagan won in 1986 for Shooting News, Shooting Times and The Field. Some of you may have bought limited edition prints off me from the Nominators car park, I always parked next to the road fence it was easier to get out if it was boggy!

 

I am really sorry to hear of the plans. I was going to give Sam a ring this week about going for a goose..........regards to those who remember Stuart and his stubborness! But he dug a good sough and kept it filled with mould free barley straw. Do you also remember the Cornish lads on the flank who came every year - Pete always wore the same yellow jumper - he was from Wadebridge (or just outside) and coursed Wadebridge downs with Bill Pedlar. Those were the days.

 

All those who have signed the e-petition. It will be worth TEN TIMES as much, if you write a letter to the local MP - and I don't mean email, I mean WRITE. Belive it or not, even in this electronic age, a hand written letter carries far more weight. It doesn't need to be an esay - 6 or 7 lines is all it takes. Get your pens out and lick a stamp. It has to be dealt with and MPs get an easy ride with email.

iam from canny farm and never went to altcar myself wich I bitterly regret, but it was altcar that I watched in amazement my mates dogs coursing and was hooked on running dogs instantly pm any info to me bosun atb
