Money passing hands 2 friends having a walk out isn't an event ... Is it was that easy to class it as an event the beagle packs would of been f****d an the local harrier packs. there no law that says cap or anyone else cant come up here an meet a friend an go for a hunt. an theirs nothing stopping him crossing the border an getting his own permission as nans pat says he only 30 mile down the road. he can inflate his ego all he wants up here Quote Link to post
nans pat 2,575
some people must think the border is marked out in a straight line . you could be in the same field as your mate 2 foot away and he be in a different country lol . if you put the hare up and it runs into the south you can slip but once the dog crosses the invisible line its illegal lol captain take your photos over the invissible line you be fine lol Quote Link to post
paulus 26
although it does state (North) makes it an offence for someone to organise, participate in or attend a hare coursing event, or to net, transport or be in possession of hares for the purpose of a hare coursing event. but more to the point are these statements (South) hare coursing continues in the Republic of Ireland under an exemption from anti-cruelty laws introduced in 1911. The exemption was retained in an updated draft animal health and welfare bill published in March 2012. “It is not appropriate to simply outlaw hare coursing and hunting when they are pursued according to the codes of conduct drawn up by clubs,” declared agriculture minister Simon Coveney in a September 20, 2012 address to the Dail (Irish parliament). . “Considerable numbers of people are passionate about these pursuits,” Coveney said, “and my job is to ensure that standards are met rather than simply outlawing practices. be careful what you post as i keep saying have no doubts that there are people out there actively trying to get a total ban heres just one thats only 400 odd signatures short of the 10,000 needed http://www.change.org/petitions/petition-to-ban-horrific-hare-coursing-cruelty-in-ireland heres another http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2012/02/492542.html Quote Link to post
