glad your dogs alright mate it could of been worse all these replies of going back and cutting the fences down its no wonder farmers are warey of letting lurcher lads on there land grow the f**k up

thats a nasty cut banter, that barbed wire should be banned its barbaric

It's to stop cattle putting there heads under the fence to eat the other side, some might even crawl under. At the end of day barb wire is just part of the country side,if you don't like it don't go.

well as much as I don't like it ......we cant exspect it too be banned for the sake of running dogs......unfortunately it serves a purpose for farmers and cattle......just got too do our best too avoid what we can.......its a fecjking pain when it does happen,.......a dog out of action and usually a few quid out the pocket.......

was there any stitches in the muscle or was it the skin what was just stitched and they left the inch gash in the muscle to heal on its own.....?

cut on the muscle was going with the grain so to speak . not cutting across it so it should be fine

yeh but when put a strand only 6in off the floor, thats a c**t trick. Its not stopping cattle or sheep from doing anything at that height . fact .Iam not say cut his fence +wire down when its put at (normal) height, if your dog gets a wack its just 1 of them things, but 6in off the floor i would cut the feckin thing deff .:yes:

cattle are very determined (well the words thick) but half a ton can exert a lot of pressure on a fence, a herd of cattle on a main road or on a blind corner does not bear thinking about. barbed wire is relatively cheap, quick and easy to install and maintain and very, very effective,

if your not going to respect what the farmers put there for a reason,...............then don't bother ...........

theres a lot of things we disagree with ..........but without the farmers we would be struggling ...........

if some one cut a fence I put up ,.....I wouldn't give any one permission......

live with it, get on with it.....
