alan81 110
I will be collecting my .223 in a few weeks time and iv wanted to go goat shooting for a few years now but there are none anywhere near me in Wexford and I don't know anyone who could give me permission elsewhere. is there anyone on here who could help me out with getting permission probably around Tipperary, Offaly or Wicklow or maybe further. I know this is a long shot but you never know unless you try. thanks lads. Quote Link to post

tango 221
jigsaw changed tactics on the goats now, he hides in the bushes in nothing but a loin cloth with a club and jumps them as they pass. Quote Link to post
alan81 110
Think jigsaw may be able to point you in the right direction , think he knocks a few over ..don't know what calibre he uses though yea I typed in feral goats in the search engine today and I read about some of his outings, real good wright ups and sounds like he has a good dog for the job to. I never spoke to him on here doe and thought it would be a bit brazing to pm him. maybe he will see this and get back to me, come on jigsaw help me out Quote Link to post
sussex 5,802
What you got to loose ? he seems a sound geezer , even if he just gives you some info . If you pm him & he doesn't reply what you lost .......What was it Del Trotter said ,"he who dares Rodney "...... Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
.223 will be plenty for them, they can't take a bullet in my limited experience. Unless you can get above them I can imagine some longer shots being on the cards though. 'Frank' who now spends a lot of time in the running dogs section, if he's even still here, used to have a .223 and did a lot of goat & fallow shooting in Ireland with it. Quote Link to post
