The Booze

Used to drink when I was younger but could take it or leave it. I would go months without a pint, that was mostly down to night fishing for sea trout or lamping in the winter, both entailed driving late at night or early hours, so a drink was out of the question.

Now I drink every day near enough, not a lot, 3 or 4 pints of cider the only time I don't drink is if I am off out with the nets and then I may have a couple when I get home. Never seem to be drunk and never have a hangover, but always merry. A big plus is when someone asks me to take them anywhere, it's sorry I have had a drink ;)

fair play mate, wish i was like you, went out last night had 4 pints of the black stuff, come back had some supper the wife left me. Woke up today ,gut felt bit rough but thats it. Couple pints never bothers me, 4-5 seems to affect me gut, maybe as you get older your stomach shrinks or changes on the inside. :hmm:

Don't drink in the week but come the weekend....

I couldn't imagine not having a drink Friday or Saturday night and a catch up with mates

Yep I am with you on that one, after being at work all week I feel like I have lost a weekend if I don't go out and have a pint or three on a fri or sat night, drink the odd bottle of vino in the week but, its not like the old days :cray: I would be out thur fri sat sun at least, but I could afford it then lol.

Do most of you have bellys though? Think that looks terrible on a bloke and is probably one of the only things that makes me tell myself to go sobber. Randomly stop drinking for no reason for few months just to give the body a rest and fear of the belly lol
