Do you lads out on the lash every weekend not have kids to be doing stuff with? I have a few beers at home of a weekend but to go on the lash like I used to I'd feel like I was robbing my kids of cash

all or nothing with me to suffer for days so dont touch it now 4 years ive no had a drink and 2 years drug free

Theres not many people who can truly handle their drink and be the same person on it as off it......I only know a couple of lads who can   I packed up nearly 18 years ago when I settled down as I ha

i don't drink very often now , maybe once every few months, i could put it away when i was younger though, when i was working away it was in the pub every night after work 8-10 pints, if i had to go out on a session now the dogs wouldn't get exercised the next day, and that would bother me.

Used to drink when I was younger but could take it or leave it. I would go months without a pint, that was mostly down to night fishing for sea trout or lamping in the winter, both entailed driving late at night or early hours, so a drink was out of the question.

Now I drink every day near enough, not a lot, 3 or 4 pints of cider the only time I don't drink is if I am off out with the nets and then I may have a couple when I get home. Never seem to be drunk and never have a hangover, but always merry. A big plus is when someone asks me to take them anywhere, it's sorry I have had a drink ;)

been a big drinker in my younger days and taking a few other things along the way lol. but paying bills and having a young'un has changed that (for the better of course) :whistling: the last few years I've been going on and off the sauce, I don't miss it when im off it and I feel better for it. and when I do have a few I its not like the old days haha. and the day after is a write off. thinking of packing it in altogether, cant really have two/three pints and head home its all or nothing with me.

there must be people on here in the same boat or have been? how many of you's jacked it in and how many of you's still go on benders or just have a few?

don't worry its not an aa meeting,:drink:

i havent touched a drop for 6 years now feel great for it. and has you say i dont miss it one bit. havent smoked for 9 years however there is times when i feel like i could do with a cigerate the urge to want to smoke appears from time to time, yet i never get the urge to want to drink.

I had a skinful on Saturday and finished aboit 5 am yesterday morning. had to get up 3 1/2 hours later so was wrecked all day. it's now Monday morning and I'm still not fully over it.

15 or 20 years ago it wouldn't have been an issue, just can't do it these days.

I would do most of my drinking at home as its to expensive to have a session in a pub these days buts usually 2 or three max and then off to the leaba and that's done maybe twice a month if I'm lucky.

There was a stage when I was 22 I drank at least 8 pints a night 6/7 nights a week but on the weekend that would be 12 plus pints for about 6 months.Never again.
