Guest norseman
been a big drinker in my younger days and taking a few other things along the way lol. but paying bills and having a young'un has changed that (for the better of course) the last few years I've been going on and off the sauce, I don't miss it when im off it and I feel better for it. and when I do have a few I its not like the old days haha. and the day after is a write off. thinking of packing it in altogether, cant really have two/three pints and head home its all or nothing with me. there must be people on here in the same boat or have been? how many of you's jacked it in and how many of you's still go on benders or just have a few? don't worry its not an aa meeting,

Huan72 687
I don't drink at all, I cant just have one drink, if I'm gonna have one I might as while get a litre of Vodka, that's just me. Been off the booze for 18 months now and never looked back. Much fitter and happier now, rather than sit about boozing i'm enjoying life. I like the line from the film The Wolfman that anyone with any type of drink problem can relate to, the morning after......................................."You've done terrible things Lawrence, terrible things". I don't wake up any more worrying who I've pissed off or upset. For me its just not worth it, I don't even miss it.

smithie 2,443
i used to drink minimum 8 cans a night sometimes 5 nights a week then sometimes every day for 4 weeks and on a weekend it could get worse... i was pissed on 4 but greed kept me going and i would not go to bed until i could stay awake no longer or the lager had run out and there was no option to buy more... ill never drink again if i can help it as i will end up back as i was and i cant afford it nor can i handle the hangover or the realisation of the stupid things i do or say under the influence
