Burning certain types of wood can leave you with a build up of creosote in your chimney, which is a fire hazard and can corrode your liner, if it's steel. I wouldn't purposefully burn stuff soaked in it.. I might be wrong because I'm just making an assumption based on the fact I know creosote ain't good in a chimney.. They are the ones covered in creosote How bigs your woodburner?,sleepers must be 10 ft wide.Seriously smash em up and throw em in,burn luvverly and ive never known any ill effects from the gunk they are coated in.
