lamping_lad 8
Hi lads, my ex-employer is refusing to give me holiday pay that's owed to me, from my calculations it's about €500 but the c**t is saying it's nil. Staying within the law can any of you think of any ways to get the cash out of him. Thanks Edited September 28, 2013 by lamping_lad

nothernlite 18,080
were you self employed ?
scothunter 12,609
there no real threat doing it within the law,its a long drawn out process and chance of your cash is slim.longer it goes on less chance. and not to mention you will prob forget about it aswell., good luck anyway
paulus 26
sit in his office until he pays, works better if you have purchased that bag of manure you needed for your roses and take it in with you
NEWKID 27,143
Personally mate I don't think you see it, the bloke will know if he has to pay or not and no contract doesn't give you much chance... if your on the books you incur a certain amount of holiday days as you work..you'd probably spend more on trying to prove your owed it... A late night visit would probably be the only chance, but could cost you a lot more than 500 quid...
albert64 1,882
you don't need a contract to be eligible for holiday pay if your employed, not self employed your entitled to holidays by law the hard bit is proving what he owes you tell him you play with matches, it'll be cheaper to pay you
pip1968 2,490
if your working for an agency and your there for a few months your entitled to holiday pay but it has a price like what happened to my mate he claimed his holiday pay and he never worked for 15mths as they put a block on him
trappa 518
What about going to see him in his office and "accidentally" tripping over something sticking up on his property. The threat of a claim might swing it??

Thanks Don't take this the wrong way mate, its a genuine question..........do you really believe you are owed the money or are you just chancing your arm?...........if you think you have a genuine claim there will be some official body that will persue that for you I am sure
Guest norseman
pursuing it within the law is a load of f***ing shite. my bro got shafted out of three months wages and the company changed names ect. he didn't get his money back but lets just say the boss lost a lot more than he owed the law is not on the working classes side
