It is interesting to see that people seem to be voting for content rather than anything else. I think the vixen suckling her cubs is an amazing shot, but in terms of clarity, sharpness, obviously due to the low light, leaves a lot to be desired. Just my thoughts on the matter, but I thought that a photo competition should be about more than just the subject: anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I don't agree, sorry.. The one of the fox suckling got my vote too. I for one ain't qualified to judge a photo based on its technical aspects, so image content is everything. Give me a half decent picture of a subject like that over something like a technically perfect, arty close up picture of a leaf anyday! I can see things like that with my own eyes every day, I can't see things like that fox shot..

I voted for 7. Based on how rare it must be to have got that pic ,,of a suckling vixen,,,, but lets be honest there all brilliant ,,well done folks

I am very fortunate to have two pics in the line-up, but the best pic for me is "lurchergirl" walking the dogs...says it all for me .

the terrier picture is an absolute cracker. gets my vote. and well done to everyone that had a picture in the comp. be great if it could become a regular feature.

I like them all, but certain images, take a creative eye or experience, there's also the aspect of trying to capture something in its natural environment or a landscape in its golden hour glory... some like the content others like the quality of the photography...

Get a vote in if you haven't already... :)

Agree 100% got my vote as well some of the others you could replicate yourself maybe not as good technically but to my untrained eye the same! you could spend a long time trying to get a picture of a vixen suckling.

Not been on for a couple of days but Mr Wilkes alerted me to being in the final line up - how cool is that :D Thanks for choosing that shot you guys

Some really great pics here. I reckon Mr Wilkes is a clear winner tho - the terrier shot is ace.

Well done everybody who submitted, I've enjoyed looking at all the great pictures

I agree ! Shame that sharpness and light/colour have lost out to content. Not that the pictures are not interesting.

BUT its a Photography comp and unfortunately not all the top ten should be in the 10 imo

You're entitled to your opinion mate, but remember those are the top 10 photos from hundreds taken by and rated by hundreds of hunting folk on a hunting website, not hundreds of expert/proficient photographers on a photography site..
