Dan25 87 Posted September 28, 2013 Report Share Posted September 28, 2013 Well it all started this morning mate of mine was coming waited for an hour then I get a text can't come mate after getting everything sorted out.well started ferreting got the big hob out and he's starting nipping straight away.In he goes and after about 5 mins bang got one in the net goes in again and then I miss 2 at once I try pick the ferret and bang he bites me quite hard this happens another 4 times throughout the day last time he really hung on and I must admit. I gave him a good slap this time over the nose he's a proper fuckerrrrrrr don't no if hel ever be any good to handle. Get my other ferret out ( brother to the biter and he's perfect) do a small warren and get 2 in no time .then move onto a big warren net up and put ferret in and get one then miss 3 in a row.hard work on your own these big warrens then all goes quite get locater out and dig him out laying up with a big buck rabbit pull him out and then call it a day ended up with 5 but missed 7 or 8 and I have to say finger is a bit sore lol atb Quote Link to post

We all have had those days at some point or another but you got on with it and that's the main thing. I have kept ferrets for over thirty years and had a real bad biter two seasons ago and can honestly say I have never ever had one like it. The rest of the litter were spot on but this one just was not right, I did all the usual things to try and bring him round but all failed. Don't like to give up on any animal without a good time frame but in the end this one had to go the way of the do-do. If yours persists on biting you at every chance it gets and you have genuinely tried all methods to break it from doing so, its time to say goodbye. Keep cracking on mate and good luck on your biter and with the rest of the season 1 Quote Link to post
