Long-Term Jobless To Do Unpaid Work Or Lose Benefits

Regarding the doctor thing. Its probably due to being registered in a small Welsh village but I can get in to my doctor easy whenever I want so got no complaints there. But I think the Tories are grandstanding when it comes to this 8pm thing. Was listening to callers saying they already have this in some parts of the country.

Guaranteed if I called my doctor I wouldn't be able to get an appointment for 2 or 3 days. Last time I needed to see him urgently, they told me to go to A&E.

i have walked into ours with a bout of AF and they have got me straight in, ECG done. assessed by the doctor and ambulance called :laugh:

Yeh at first glance ,, it looks like a good idea,,, but would it take away a real job of somone else?...... Or is it like getting comunity service for a crime,,,, in wich case it's kind of wrong again

not all do.but its good to see the tory propaganda machine is in overdrive here, and blaming all the countries woes on the poor. sad really. we seem to have compassion for every starving coon in some o

You try finding a job as it stands today! I'm looking local and UK wide and still nothing, I'm a hard working lad, decent education, well mannered etc and learn quickly with plenty to give a company a

Gotta ask and again no offence but what sort of life are you going to have with some of the jobs they offer anyway. I remember my brother signed on and he got told to apply for tesco, and think it was pc world. Fine if your living at home but those jobs you would still need to claim some sort of benefit. Can see people happy well at least their doing something. Maybe I'm greedy but don't people want more from life? Luckily my brother got sorted with a plumbing apprenticeship. That was only pure luck though and gotten through the family. Got two mates I know and ones doing labouring for 40 a day and others learning to be a sparky and getting 60 a day. The labourer is breaking his back, doing longer hours, earning less and learning f**k all lol. Thing that gets me is the labourer could of easily been the same as the sparky apprentice he just didnt get the hook up. Bloody true when they say its not what you know it's who you know.

Well done on getting a job ruby, seems the thought of picking litter made you get your arse in gear lol. If its your first job you'll probably love it. Have a laugh at mine n when I get the day off I'm sat at home wishing I was at work lol.

I don't know what your going on about tescos not being a good job when my brother was working for them granted he said it was mind numbing he was pulling 275 a week in my book that's not that bad of a wage and that was doing shells and till work

That's a fair wage if your living at home. 13,200 I wouldn't call a decent wage otherwise though. I suppose it depends on the area you live aswell. That whole wage wouldn't even get you a 2 bedroom flat in my area. I'm known as the man who wanted more in my house anyway. I don't wanna just get by or survive, we're here once. I'm not a dreamer who thinks his gonna be a millionaire running his own business. I don't lack ambition though and determined to try get more outta life. Wasnt a put down on tesco workers at all infact my mum keeps saying she's going to look to get a job there soon. I have much more respect for any worker than a lazy c**t. Just think what's wrong with wanting more. I want the big house, decent car and nice things like the clothes, watches and holidays. Rather be how I am than just think sod it i won't work ill sign on and get enough money to get drunk on the weekends like some I know.

every time we get severe rain, half the country floods.surely we could give everyone unemployed a job working for the country to build defences against this,be a great campaign that, and something badly needed in this country.oh wait wouldnt work there no scam in it for the greedy b*****ds. and no promise of a position on some board of directors for giviin out goverment contracts when the do retire from being MPs they dont give a shit about this country.only what riches they can accumulate for themselfs.

78% of all MP's are millionaires.........................were all in this together :laugh::laugh::laugh:

and the other 22% dont declare it,cause they would need to justify how they got there money lol remember carol thatcher been asked on tv once about her brother being a millionaire"i dont know how,he hasnt worked a day in his life" lol

He got his millions because his mother insisted he was a " go between " between the British government ad the Saudis in the Al Yamana weapons deal. Corruption at the highest level and nothing said about it, but they want you blokes to work for your dole, strewth !!!!!

It's people's attitude I don't get. Don't they want more? 56quid a week ok they aren't doing sod all but what sort of life is that? How can you ever save or go away. Then again pride comes into it, pats on the backs from society don't motivate me at all. Most of society would be culled if I had my way anyway lol. It's the people you love and care about who's opinions matter though. Having them being proud when they talk about you. What about giving your kids more aswell? Aint got none yet but already know I wanna give them more than I had and do all the silly over the top birthdays and stuff. Imagine your kid in school saying "I wanna be like my dad" what's he do? "f**k all watches Jeremy Kyle all day n gets on the cider on the weekend".

2nd generation of unemployed bloodlines shouldn't be allowed to have kids. The young bloke who goes to the bookies and makes up every excuse when I suggest jobs to apply for for example. His parents do f**k all and got f**k all. Talking not even a tele in the frontroom. You would think that sort of thing would motivate him to want more and go get not give bloody excuses. So maybe being lazy and not having pride is a gene. Either way its not a trait that needs reproducing is it.

Money isn't as important as family and loyalty. Other than that I say money is the most important thing. Anyone who says money doesnt make you happy is a lair or lucky enough to be able to accept living a life I simply couldn't. Your child could be ill and need treatment but have to wait on a list...along comes a footballer who flashes the cash and gets the treatment dispite his problem being self inflicted. Everyone loves money, what's a better buzz than going to the cash point n having more than you thought. Or putting on a pair of jeans and finding a score you never knew you had. Most the people who have told me money isnt everything haven't got any so to speak.

i would rather those type of people your on about dare sat in the house for there 56 quid or whatever it is., they obviously would be shit in a job,so better someone who wants to do the job properly fill the postion.

i dont love money, its a neccisity but i certainly dont let it control my life, tbh the people i have met who were totally consumed with cash are no nice folk at all.
