stealthy1 3,964
Wonder if the litter pickers that will be laid off now will now have to work for a fraction of what they were on before doing the same job lol what about the community punishments handed out what will they be doing ? How about stopping all these foreigners coming into the country so them jobs can go to people who should be here then when there is jobs and jobs with prospects and a decent wage as the companies need the labour as much as people need the jobs then people that don't want to work told you don't need any benefits that would be totally understandable but it seems at the minute the working class ate being shafted and the propaganda is unbelievable I seen my local paper headlines about how the area was being targeted for $1m quid of fraud over a year in a big area now yrs they should do that but what about the billions being defrauded through tax what about the mps expenses costing millions when there ain't even 700, of them what about the back handers they are getting off huge firms by blood ling or making policies for them and guaranteeing themselves a job when they don't get voted or give up when there nose is blocked from the trough. All I'm saying is I'm sure 99.999 % of people want to work even shit jobs if it was enough money to live on and they know that the job is pretty secure if it rests on their actions so use that 300m training our young people who don't know if there black white American or Pakistani give people some aspirations that hard work can still ne rewarded just too many dead end jobs when people have got a house whatever kids they have to make a claim then get told apply for this job they get the job 3/3 weeks even months later told there's no work and have to claim again waiting weeks months for any benefits is it any wonder why people are a bit reluctant to jump at the first minimum wage job ? So you don't want to be a litter picker then

stealthy1 3,964
Its also about time Politicians took a hit ' Ok let them have their generous 68k wages BUT they shouldnt get a penny in expenses. It should be a Free Uk wide rail pass ( for work engagements only in cattle class ) This might open their eyes to how Joe Public live. Build them a Premier Inn Type Hotel on the outskirts of London Maybe Luton - Watford and they can use their rail pass to travel in to Parliment. This way they will be showing they are in the Job for the right reasons and that' WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER ' Its funny you should mention rail travel on expenses? twobob 1,497
Its no that radical a plan. Its only going to effect those that have been claiming for 3 years or more. After that long on the Dole surely they need a little help getting mobile once more. It should be maybe a little more strict. A year claiming then work for what you get so to speak. how does that work then max for people that have paid in for 10/20/30 year ?
walshie 2,804
I'm on the fence with this one. I can see both sides. Getting people to do menial tasks for very little money is unfair, but if someone has been out of work for 2 years even on the basic £56 a week, they've earned nearly £6k for doing nothing and that's unfair too. Takes me a long time to earn that kind of money. P.S Well done Ruby.

A year claiming then work for what you get so to speak. how does that work then max for people that have paid in for 10/20/30 year ? when they say move to where the jobs are, if you have no job or live in social housing how do you do that? or take a job say in london in mcdonalds but never be able to afford the rent or buy anywhere. they need to create jobs in the areas with high unemployment actually is. but if it aint down south there not interested, it was on the local news earlier that bus companies will be cutting back rural services due to the loss of government subsidies, where does that leave the youngsters that live in rural communities, they can not afford the insurance on a car or the bus now, so how will the attend the job centres 5 days a week when the 10 mile trip is costing them more than they get in dole money?/
zigzag dan 784
One of the terms of getting Job Seekers is that you will travel 90 mins each way to a job , where I am in Wolves would get me into Manchester city centre , so , 3 hrs driving in your own car to earn £ 6.19 per hour for 8 hours , pay your stoppages then your fuel !!!!! Obviously a lot of thought went into that one ., didn't it ?
