Recommended Posts

I would do it if it was helping oaps, keeping the area tidy etc...doing it for an actual company is slave labour and taking a paid position away from someone. Just there to make the rich richer unfortunately, f**k that!

Yeh at first glance ,, it looks like a good idea,,, but would it take away a real job of somone else?...... Or is it like getting comunity service for a crime,,,, in wich case it's kind of wrong again

not all do.but its good to see the tory propaganda machine is in overdrive here, and blaming all the countries woes on the poor. sad really. we seem to have compassion for every starving coon in some o

You try finding a job as it stands today! I'm looking local and UK wide and still nothing, I'm a hard working lad, decent education, well mannered etc and learn quickly with plenty to give a company a

simple solution, all benefits should be means tested no universal benefits. all disability benefits should be at GP`s discretion, jobseekers allowance should only last a max of 2 years and if you were not born in this country or your family does not reside in this country then none of the afore mentioned should apply

They've finally found a system that's a cheaper way to employ a legitimate workforce.

I mean why hire illegal immigrants (a proven way to build an economy, although illegal by nature) when you can now hire a legal, but free, workforce. It really is win, win, for business.

Doing it to keep your benefits is almost like working though. You work, you get money.

Aye but it should be relative. You shouldn't work a 40 hour week for £50 is what i mean, if they're sending you to work you should be paid in accordance to NMW...

just a question, how much is this going to add to the benifit bill given those organising and implementing it will not be doing it for free, then theres the small matter those signing on are signing to say they are actively seeking work, something that would be hard to do if you're working for nothing in poundland  its all bollocks to raise party profiles at these conferences, when universal credit is introduced in 2017 job seekers will be expected to be searching for work for 35hours a week and be able to prove it, theres even talk of them attending job clubs for all these 35hours, all sounds wonderful but the amount paid out to job seekers is probably less than the annual mp`s entertainment bill, kick the less well off a game every tory likes to play :laugh::laugh:

35 hours at job club, or 35 hours in a full time job. As long as they're out of bed before dinner and doing something, then I couldn't give a f**k who's pulling the strings

but it will double or triple the benefit bill and i thought the idea was to reduce it  well the jobseekers element

good post paulus

add a living wage and bobs your uncle but it will never happen as someone apart from the normal person would have to share a little :laugh:

People should not be allowed to bleed the country dry, choosing to be unemployed and living on benefits for their entire lives and there are many that do this.........................add all the benefits up and its a fortune. On the other hand, any of us could fall on bad times and need help and this is why the benefits system was created. Those on long term benefits should have to work for them but not for money making private companies, that would lead to further unemployment but think of the bigger picture. More and more unemployed on long term benefits working for a pittance without any money to enjoy life and pursue leisure activities or the mental energy to realise that the government has them just were they want them.......................................a massive slave labour force meaning more profit for those that the government truly look after..................the very rich ;) The answer is to put money in the hands of the average working person so that they can buy things and redistribute money into the system. How can anyone be expected to think the system is fair when massive companies decide what to pay in tax.....................could I do that...........not a chance!!!!! Also the fear of redundancy plays into employers hands, workers doing overtime for free, putting up with more s**t than they normally would etc. I have a very nasty feeling in the back of my mind that I am being played with and controlled through fear, but hey I could just be paranoid :)
