What Size Gunslip?

Hi,

 

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I have a HW97KT which is just over 40 inches in total length. What size gunslip is best? The one I'm looking at comes in either 44", 46" or 48" length. I don't know if there is a reason I shouldn't just get the biggest one.

Thats nice one. But I was only looking at the £15 Buffalo river ones from redbeck.

You should be looking at a slip that comfortably covers your rifle and mounted scope all snug and secure. Depth is as important as length. And don't entertain a slip or gunbag with a cheaply made sling. Or pray the bag will protect the rifle and scope from a falling impact!

 

The best you can afford that fits this bill, is what you should buy!

The buffalo river ones are tiny, you will struggle to fit a rifle and decent scope into it without a fight buddy ... Trust me I know

 

Better off spending a cupple extra quid and save yourself the hassle

I bought a 48" buffalo river bag same as your picture

and my 97kt fits with high mounts and panorama 4-12x40

Thats my advice too.

Obviously the higher your scope is mounted adds to the depth of the rifle bag you will need.
