richie c 11
The 3/4 reverse collie cross is a tuff durable lurcher. I suppose you want to keep greyhound blood at bay if running harsh land.... Quote Link to post
jack68 628
lurcher x lurcher with both parents proven over the years says it all to me...atb 2 Quote Link to post
long dog 125
depends what you want to run on and depends what type of ground, field size ect. ATB long dog 3 Quote Link to post
lurchers2533 22
i would think greyhoundxbull to collie greyhound maybe a dash of deerhound in there somewhere.i can imagine a good tuff dog coming from that strain Quote Link to post
TOMO 26,127
I think any of the pastoral type crosses ,, collie, kelpie, A.C.D.. That speckle bitch Lloydy had looked like it would never break.... And all of the above might be even more robust if they came from a line of lurchers rather than just a first cross,,,, well at least in theory,,or on paper 1 Quote Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
Gonna breed a litter next year from this pair.....would imagine durability won't be an issue.... Dam - well bred Irish coursing greyhound. Sire - needs no introduction..... 3 Quote Link to post
Phil Lloyd 10,738
What do you reckon it is? I cannot speak for others,.but,.personally,.I found my own Red Heeler /Greyhounds to be extremely worthwhile with regards to roustabout hunting/mouching, and durability. sikastag_1 689
As Paulus says most 1st crosses although I don't think saluki greys or deer greys are anywhere near as robust as any of the terrier or collie type first crosses. 1 Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,467
What do you reckon it is? I cannot speak for others,.but,.personally,.I found my own Red Heeler /Greyhounds to be extremely worthwhile, with regards to roustabout hunting/mouching and overall durability. Admitedly, I only hunted rabbits,..over a variety of terrains and different counties, throughout the UK,.but I did get a good decade and a half, of continuous work from them,.so,..I suppose I got my monies worth,...can't say fairer than that... BRUCE JUDY SPECKLE They look pretty indestructible to me. What made you move on to a different type of dog Phil? Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
Aye, those dogs of yours Phil, as Tomo says, do look just about indestructible... As Paulus said, as are most first crosses, here's another... Quote Link to post
