No difference for me , wether its my £5 bet on the flapping track or some professional gamblers £10,000 on snooker /football. dog racing its all the same , its wrong and no amount of claiming its alwa

What do you lads who love sport think of this slippery little c**t Stephen Lee the snooker player....... We all know cheating go,s on and cheating to win is one thing..... But cheating to lose !!....T

He's definitely made millions over his 20 year career, so he probably has everything a man of his age could want already. A man's credibility is surely worth more than any money IMO.

The problem is the vast amount of money in sport now, money can corrupt, it depends why the sportsman's in the game. If there in it to be the very best at what they do and take pride themselves they will not cheat. There are some truly amazing athletes out there, pushing there bodies to the limit, day in and day out who know that they will never be the best but they do it to be the best they can be, they respect themselves and their sport.......................that's the sort of sportsman I respect. I can not abide highly paid sportsman that cheat, have no self discipline, get pissed and cause trouble like a common thug............they may be good at their sport but deserve no ones respect!.........................IMO

Gnash what about a journey man?,,, I know they play an important role in boxing,,,but isn't that a similar thing?

Tomo i like you....you seem a good chap...............but that has to be the single most stupid thing you,ve ever said :D

Are you saying then that a journeyman fighter is not trying to win ?.....I was a journeyman fighter mate and i can tell you hand on heart i tried every minute of every round to win....i just wasnt always good enough...............To be good enough to win,but try not to.....thats a crime in my opinion !

They cheat simply to earn money..Either by betting against themselves or a payday from the winning side/corner. So be it snooker horse racing boxing football cricket..its all about the money. Nobody wants to be a loser for nothing do they. Every sport has corruption at some level and every sport will continue to do so. Nature of the beast im afraid. Likes been said...Being able to bet on just about every permatation of a game/match/race makes the act of cheating that much simpler.

what about performance enhancing drugs? sport has to be rife with it.

Cheating to win any man with any kind of competetive edge can half understand...........doesnt make it ok,but the desire to be the best can lead to these things.........the desire to lose and therefore cheat to lose is absolutely unforgiveable in my opinion.

Cheating to win is just as dispicable as cheating to lose ...cheating is cheating however you look at it..Take Ben Johnson for example..smashed world records and alsorts to win major honours...came out the man cheated...disgusting...the other 7 trained their balls out to win..so along comes Ben full of jungle juice and makes a mockery of the other 7..understable? is it hell's like. Natural talent is natural talent...if you aint got what it takes..accept it and strive for your best...dont stick shit in your body for a false win .

If you put that question to 100 competetive sportsman......whats worse cheating to win or cheating to lose........i would guarentee 90% would say cheating to lose is absolutely unforgiveable....cheating to win is unnacceptable......but the highly competetive nature of professional sportsman means it can be understood more than cheating to lose.
