No difference for me , wether its my £5 bet on the flapping track or some professional gamblers £10,000 on snooker /football. dog racing its all the same , its wrong and no amount of claiming its alwa

What do you lads who love sport think of this slippery little c**t Stephen Lee the snooker player....... We all know cheating go,s on and cheating to win is one thing..... But cheating to lose !!....T

He's definitely made millions over his 20 year career, so he probably has everything a man of his age could want already. A man's credibility is surely worth more than any money IMO.

how?its still corruption in sport is it not?

horse racing millions and millions follow and bet on it.and tbh the vast majority of gamblers know there is underhand tactics in the game, but we still go and bet.

anyway who gives a shit. he got found out bad luck for him.

Well for a start you couldnt be sure 100% that the dog wouldnt win. You were not getting paid to stop your dog you'd be dog it too get a better mark. Also its a flapping track hobby not a professional sport.

As for horse racing there are crooked trainers and jockeys and if they get caught in that multi-million pound industry then they shoudl get the book thrown at them. But when you have an animal involved its very hard to prove unless they have video footage of under hand tactics...

If you've got something about you you'd want to be the best IMO, but he's chose the easy way..

What I can't understand is he's a wanker and should be killed for ripping off the punters etc... But old Charlie down the track feeding his dog up before the race, is a sound old lad....

What's the difference?

How s what scot done different Lab , Its the same to me , make money from suckers like me , its fukin despicable .

At the highest level mate i agree......when its at what could be described as 'hobby' level i'm afraid it goes on. Running dogs on flapping tracks is too make money on gambling....not others money.

Professional snooker is to be the best and of course the money side helps.

Well i'm sorry i think hobby sports and professional sports are a world apart. Big difference between someone gambling £100 quid at the local track and someone waiting on thousands on a snooker player that has no intention of winning for his own gain.

And apart from the money side anyway he cant be a very proud person..........i'd rather be skint and liked than rich and hated!!!

i think he was being smart. how could he even cope with Ronnie osullivan still playing. its best to retire rich and a nearly man than to retire a nearly man and poor. just hope its worth th agro and hes made millions before he got caught

Smart? Not so f*****g smart now that he has been caught though is it. Now he'll have to walk the streets with his head in his hands, no doubt there will be alot of well deserved abuse thrown at the lad. In his career he will have walked into pubs and had drinks bought for him, i'd imagine locally he would have been hailed as a bit of a hero. Be lucky if he doesnt get the pint glass instead of the pint now.

why would he be walking the streets if hes mega rich. he obviously made sure he was financially well off before he took the risk. at the end of the day money make the world go around

Cant be certain.....but i very much doubt it. Of course he has stopped dogs for other owners dogs and for his own personal gain.....whether that financial or for the benefit of the dogs mark. Theres no doubt in my mind that my Dads helped the bookies to a mortgage free life.........he always wanted to beat the bookies..

Exactly.

£5 to your old man down the track might be work more than £10,000 to your professional.

Cheating is cheating, no matter what the stakes.

So he's just a greedy c**t then? He's not David Beckam.......i'm sure he liked to head to the local pub/restaurant with his family. That will be a chore now.

Stan.....Thats your opinion mate and completely understandable.................I have mine and been brought up in the flapping track world and its part of the game. If you want to go bet dogs then do it on the tv.

it most certanly is part of the game mate, but its not fair on your average punter.how i justified it was they didnt put there hand in thier pocket or get up early hours to walk a load of greyhounds before going to your work or school even lol

i had to make those dogs pay there keep and put money in my tail.if a few people got thier fingers burnt in my quest, well tbh it didnt really bother me one bit (only being honest)

i knew a taxi driver who kept dogs.honest john was what they called him. he used to take money from fellow drivers when his dog was racing knowing full well it wasnt going to win. his answer. covers my fuel and entrance money. now thats despicable. but again f**k all to do with me and tbh more fool them for giving money to a man called honest john ;lol

Its a bit unfair to be comparing betting at horse racing/dogs to other sports....... Horse racing relies on betting and without it you dont have a sport.......fixing racing has always been commonplace yes...... But its only started in many other sports since the introduction of the big online betting sites and in play betting etc....... For me a sportsman cant fall any lower id like to see them banged up for it....... and im the sort that routes for the baddies in films i love to see folk take a risk and have a touch, but not at the cost of competitive sport.
