Has the gamekeeper hit his head lately?

Well mate I should start with hoppers right on the boundry with a mix of wheat, maize and aniseed as the birds start to feed from then slowly start to move them nearer the center of your permission us

either the keeper or the lad who started this topic............I don't believe that one bit............ the truth is your trying to bring the birds inn...........

I'm surprised he didn't offer you a couple of feeders and a seasons supply of feed as well, perhaps next year he'll put in a release pen and a couple of thousand birds to save you the trouble of having to pull them in. I can't believe the man is so thoughtless in not offering to dig a flight pond for when you get fed up with hammering the pheasants, you just can't get the staff now days!!

LOOK FELLAS I HAVE NO NEED TO LIE OR SAY THINGS THAT ARNT TRUE, HOW EVER THE QUESTION STILL HAS NOT BEEN ANSWERED WHERE TO PUT FEEDERS AND WHAT FOOD TO PUT IN THEM????? LETS SEE IF ANY ONE CAN PLEASE HELP ME THANK YOU LK

You may think the lads are taking the piss a bit here but it's just so rare that something like this would happen you can understand it.

The game keepers sole purpose in life is to rear X amount of quality birds keep them safe from preditors and ultimately provide as many quality birds for (usually) paying clients. He will protect his birds day and night from any quarter be it fox or human so to say he's fine with you setting up some feeders on adjacent land o shoot his pheasants just seems very strange.

I know one thing if I as paying £1-2K a season to be in his syndicate and found out he was dong this I would want his b*llocks on a tray.

just chuck a couple of feeders in the hedgerows and any woods or thick cover you have on your land and fill them with wheat mate. all your doing is just what hundreds of people do across the country, if the birds are on your land then they are your birds the only difference with you is that you apparently have the neighbours blessing lol but even if you didnt you would not be doing anything illegal just annoying to your neighbours  i have some permission smack bang between 2 shoots and i do pretty well shooting there :boogy: but to be fair i was a gun on one last year and beat on the other :tongue2:

Place I used to beat on had a farmer next door who used to plant up game crops  Pretty much ran his own shoot alongside free of change. Used to see him dogging in and everything.

He was despised. :icon_redface:

They always are mate......usually there every weekend knocking f**k out of free birds. Nobody would mind if they actually put some birds down and done a bit and then everyone could get on. But no they see it as free shooting.

When i had my shoot the guy done it next door........feeders right on the march and what not. He must have lots of enemies cause people used to steal his feeders... :bye:

The shoot now where i pick up has the very same problem. Every sat out doing the same bit which is a haven for birds. Last year they lined up across the fence as wee did a small drive on the boundary and they fired at birds that flew over that way....unbelieve cheek. Only consolation is none of them could hit a coo in the erse!!!

Theres sneaking a few birds and then theres taking the piss and that was at the high end mate. Nothing to do with me as i'm just picking up but i'm sure it pissed off the keeper...he seems to be quite laid back about it. I was so hoping they shot one coming this way and if it landed on our side my dog would be out quick as f**k and they could go f**k themselves for getting it back........
