netrigger 568
The twine being used is of a crossbraided multifilament twine,, its just a different type of material than the spun nylon/poly or the useual z twines that are more used at present,, because its braided and not a twisted twine it should pick up very little debri whilst out in the field.. SINDASOX 256
THATS JUST A LOVELY OPEN SPOT ....... BRAMBLES ON A RAILWAY SIDEING ........ NOW THAT A FECKIN JUNGLE .... .... Just a quick query Chalky, What happens if one of your team sets a purse net and the rabbit kicks it off, is it P45 time or what,.... ....or are they given 1 more chance. SINDASOX Quote Link to post
Phil Lloyd 10,738
Well,.to be truthful,.I've frequently had men flogged for less,.... Generally its acceptable to lose one rabbit in a hundred ,.but after that,..we are fast sinking into the murky depths of sheer fecking carelessness SERIOUSLY,.... ..IF its a paying job,..well,.you have got to act professionally and try your best not to lose too many in front of the Client,..coz,.it can get EMOTIONAL....£££££££...if ya get my drift.... BUT,..when enjoying 'recreational rabbiting'...I personaly don't give a flying feck,...I just love to be out in the woods with the dogs, nets and ferrets....I NEVER tire of the rabbiting game in all its many guises... All the dogs that we use are 'educated' to jump the long net and obviously ignore a tangled cony,..same with the purse netted ones .. BUT,..if a rabbit is slipping out of a net that is held back by brambles or debris,..I would expect the jukel to hold rabbit ...I've 'broken' some dogs so severely to the nets that they will not touch a captured cony,.but I don't train them like that these days,...I like an obedient dog that understands my business,.but not to the exclusion of enjoying life...'Life is too fecking short'.... All the best to all woodland dwellers.... Cheers,.CHALKWARREN.... Quote Link to post

DEL 5
Fine looking net there, did you dye the net blue or is the twine that colour? Quote Link to post
netrigger 568
THE TWINE COMES IN WHITE,, I ADDED A NYLON DYE TO IT AND THATS THE WAY IT CAME OUT ( WAS MENT TO BE JUNGLE GREEN LOL ) BUT ITS NEW OWNER IS A VERY EXPERIENCED RABBIT CATCHER AND CAN RUN ANOTHER DYE OVER IT IF THE COLOUR DOESNT SUIT............REGARDS..
