secretagentmole 1,701
Following a Friday from hell, Mary was finally able to get the Huntsman out to be set up. So we went to the permission to get it zeroed to 30 metres. Got it just about zeroed in so I went walkies. Managed to stalk down the track and got a line on a grazing rabbit that did not bolt. It got an Ogive from the Super 10. Hit , rolled, kick, dead! Happy Happy Happy! There was a lot of vehicle traffic by the horses, so the rabbits there would be hiding. Time to shift permissions. Got to the other paddocks and we got out. Think my visit 2 weeks ago is still having an effect. Walked round the edges and managed to stalk up on a rabbit. I got a good shot at it and managed to drop the second. Nothing else came out so as the light started to fall we headed back! I decided to have my first bunny and black pudding stew of the season. Getting the ingredients I was chatted to by the woman operating the check out, asked me what was being cooked, I told her, she asked where I got the rabbits, I told her, she asked if I could come and shoot the ones attacking her garden! Result, 2 carrots, 2 onions, bag of Self Raising flour, dried sage, Knorr stock pots, a cooking apple and a permission! Edited September 23, 2013 by secretagentmole 4 Quote Link to post
