gav1212 16
Was driving home from work this morning and decided to take the country route home, as I turned on to the back road home I seen 4 rabbit sitting on the middle of the road. When I was getting closer I thought they were just going to bolt but 2 of them ran my direction and straight under the car, I got out and they were riggling about and seemed to be clean hit so I got the plastic bag and rung there necks. Then as I went to drive off I spotted another lying by the ditch in shock. So I think ive done pretty well without a ferret or a gun in sight! 3 in the bag, good eating for the ferrets anyway! I couldn't agree more, I really don't understand the mentality of some people. If I find fresh road kill I will put it in the truck for the ferrets but I always avoid hitting anything myself. I have friends who aren't into country pursuits, as I like to call them "townies" and they just don't get it and laugh when I avoid a pheasant or a rabbit on the road... Have respect for your quarry in life and in death. That easy target on the road may offer a fantastic sporting shot or coursing memory in the field when your next out! 2 Quote Link to post

The were startled and ran under my car, I am not one of these people that would swerve and try to hit something!! And I wasnt going to have the rabbits lay there and suffer I put them out of there missery as soon as I picked them up. Harmless Post!!! 1 Quote Link to post
