Nikon Monarch5 8x42. Lightweight and very good quality and clarity and low light performance for the price.(You can get them around £250 new). If you want to spend less, their are cheaper monarch models that are also good for the money.

High end second hand can be good if theirs nothing wrong with them but bins can be delicate so buying second hand can be risky.
