What A Lovely Day...

Oh how sweet.....thats lovely.......so romantic........................It reminds me of the Chelsea fans 10 years ago who with a few bob in their pocket suddenly remembered their songs after years of being too embarrassed to open their mouths !!

They certainly weren't singing them when they were humbled by little old Cardiff the other week and dumped out of the FA cup final by a relegated Wigan at the end of last season..

Not pissed off much, honest..

Young United lad put 4 past you guys yesterday on his debut, didn't he mate? Should have kept him and sent Wellbeck out on loan to bloody Birmingham..

My nephew could put 4 past us pal

A 32k crowd ONCE in the third division years ago..............35k for years at Maine Rd...............and now 50 odd since the sheikh............you dont need to be a clever person to see the similarities with Chelsea...................anyway its nothing to be ashamed of.....is it ?

Yeah that's correct 'once'...i said hands up if you can match it, 28k mean average same division from the team that holds the british attendance record....35k maine road, correct again, whilst bouncing round the divisions (relegated seperately twice)...i dont think whilst they was clocking that number scum were getting the figures they do today (52-55k-ish)....so no, they've not exactly just found thier voice with thier new found riches. have Chelsea won european trophies and english titles and lost it to disappear into the 3rd and clock them figures (wake me up when they do). Is it owt to be ashamed of....is it fuckers like, thier lovin them £300 season tickets. You know what the knew shout is don't ya....you want a benefactor then get out there and support local club, that way your form can be inspected amd projected growth based on success worked out, if you do 32k in the 3rd how big are you with success...apparently thats how the money men think. f**k knows if they've got it right but scientific fact ses 654million viewers watched the 1-6 derby...and in monetary terms thats the biggest in the world.....only fly in that ointment is scum f*****g up and letting the side down, afterall City will be twice the size with United just below em. A numb c**t cud work that out.

 I,ll take that as a no then........im merely making the point that like Chelsea......money changed the entire football club in every way.......now while some folk dont mind buying success if it was my club id be humiliated but each to their own.......as regards attendances....again,i was merely pointing out City,s average attendances throughout the 80,s and 90,s was between 19k and 30k.............yet since the sheikh came in its near 50k.............for a simpleton like me that says everything.

Likewise another thing that says everything is when you read peoples writings over 6 or 7 years and only very recently find out they are Man City fans  .....just a gentle nudge....

Similarly i remember 10 years ago first seeing a Chelsea shirt worn by somebody other than a player !!

We can all be ultra specific towards attendances Gnashingtons, if you want to chat about me point regarding average attendances in the third after having success then wheel away (and Chelsea not belong to that accredition). If you want to chat about history and attendances then make sure your well versed cause apparently pre the plane crash the gaff was an hotbed of folk turning up...even to the late sixties with 60k gates. The era your specifically choosing to talk about was the dark period for The City of Manchester Football Club but nevertheless they were still clocking gates some folk in premiership (the '80's were not the '90's-all round) would'nt mind. Maine Road ...

I'm sure the Arabs will argue they have bought history and care not what opposing fans think, the 32k gate and the mean average for that very season was specifically brought up by Cook to Khaldoon when they were looking to invest thier petro $'s..it seems we were in a very fortunate position of not only already clocked record gates but were within the top three (in the country) whilst deep in the shit, what a stroke.

The bitterness at our fortune is even odder, it seems to be most vitriolic when outside of the North West, most of the Trafford mob (probably suprising for folk that have to read about the happenings/no history of social matters) choose to not follow the ruining football chant, though it would be slightly hypocritical given for how long and how many times they've chucked money about and instead are rather magnanimous in declaring your lot deserve it, you still turn up not matter what, though to be fair lending them our ground and kit when they were in the dire is not forgotten.

Don't be embarrassed about the monies Gnash, me red neighbour ain't, i'm sick of him telling me 'best thing to ever happen round here trimbo' (documented to be the most socially deprived area of Europe in the early '80's), mind you he works for em and i suppose given the foundation thier putting down he might be right in thinking he's got a job for life (over and above his his house doubling in value in a credit crunch). Actually after saying that i'd guesstimate it's a knocking bet his job is safe, Bernstein recently declared builders will be on the Campus for 30 yrs. Me neighbours comments are not all self serving mind, he thought the club building a state of the art 6th college (on campus) because the kids need to aspire was a marvellous move, just like providing said college with a pitch of thier own on the 100 million £ state of the art training complex currently being built over the road from the ground (kids training and eyeball all the eds teams/did i ever mention Barca being over here ('80) and studying the imprint for the juniour blues). Personally i think the state f the art olympic level swimming pool that must remain municipal was a nice touch, given that the history of the district aslo houses the first municipal park and swimming baths in the country...what a lovely nod....to history. Yeah dont be embarrassed about the dough Gnash, you know what the chinks say ' envy gotta out somewhere boss, kidney cancer boss'.

Your own songs Bubbles....that reminds me, on Sunday two nippers behind me sang 'boys in blue', i was suprised whilst i was listening with an half cocked ear....they knew every line, thier old fella taught em well, think i've got that record in the loft somewhere.

Go on then we'll have another

Am I missing the point. Is this a dig at Man U fans or how loud the singing is? Cause if its the latter I would shove some Parkhead clips up but I wouldn't want to embarrass you.....;-)

Loyalty is to be admired in my book so im not knocking you..... if it was my club i would be defending it as well..... Within your own manor and to fans of that club all the intricate details you come up with will cause a blind eye to be happily turned..... to other fans of clubs its a tap in to shower abuse at you with..... The basic attendance records are there in black and white for all to see....... The only people remotely interested in the excuses for it are yous.

You cant tell me when Abramovich came in you and your buddies were not a touch resentful towards the new found/bought success of Chelsea ?......I can say hand on heart that if my club was going into this new ground with obscure foreign wealth and not a couple of local lads done good with a love of football.......i just dont think my conscience would allow me to support that and I would probably have to stay away......Im as loyal as the next man but I cannot be a fool to my own intelligence.
