Black And White Moles

Recommended Posts

Piebald mole? That's one for " Rob58 ", mate! It's in a deep freezer, obviously ....?

You do " a little bit of mole catching " and have bagged a pied? Christ! Guys who spend their lives catching moles by the thousands don't take coloured ones for granted.

Get it mounted, ye lucky sod!

Will try and post a photo if I can get it off my mobile.

Never thorght about freezing it, :duh: I just removed it from the trap and got rid of it. :cray:

Well you need to be going back and finding it. Sharpish!!

I have trapped the odd mole or two but never had a white one.

Definitely worth something to a taxidermist. If you do manage to retrieve it and pop it in the freezer. As I was duly informed by folk in the know ;) don't wrap it in newspaper.

To add though. Before you get too giddy!!

It won't make you rich!!

Oh Poo :censored: I just popped it under a bush. I hadn't planned on checking on my traps I had just taken a blast out on my motorbike and decided to take a look to see if I had caught the little sod that kept getting away.

Its been under the bush for 3 or 4 days by now so it will be a right state and thats if its still there.

Get your traps back down in the same area. Others in he past have had a couple from the same patch of ground.

Best leave that one festering..... Urgh!!

I have yet to see an all black or an all white mole, or a black and white mole, nor have I ever seen pictures of them. I have caught a few moles that are a sort of blond color, and one that was really bright orange.

I have caught all black(melanistic) and all white(albino) pocket gophers, though just a few specimes of each, over 22 years in this business.
