Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
well apparently hull cartridge are waiting for some hw98 .177 and its going to be 6 WEEKS! don't want one in .22. fancy a hw77k in the new stock in .177 aswell but I did want the adjustability factor of the hw98 so it fits me better..? least hassle possible with new springer, don't want to be fitting my own adjustible buttpad if I can buy a rifle with one already on. (98) but then theres the risk of getting a Friday afternoon HW sh1tter that's rough as .. something rough! so then it would need tuning, even more waiting time! and then I looked on the rack in the gunshop today and there was the most stunning TX200HC walnut I have ever seen, but it was right handed, or I would have been walking out with that. so that made me think of a .177 tx200 left hand walnut, possibly a waiting time, and most expensive option. but do I want HC or full length?!! help guys this is so frikkin hard !!! don't know what to do lol do I wait 6 weeks for the 98 .177 I actually wanted in the first place, due to the weight and balance and adjustable butt and cheek.. - then send it to SFS and wait even longer ? or do I get a 77k .177 and risk getting a twangy grindy loctited gun that i cant get inside?! or do i get a beautiful l/h walnut TX .177 and still possibly have to wait ?! should have just kept the fxckin 97kt .177 sorry for the big rant lol Quote Link to post
Lewis Ste 245
If I started hft I'd buy a left walnut tx200 hc, if i got my FAC and needed a air rifle for the closer range stuff I'd buy a hw95k. But with no hft courses and wanting a new springer I'd get a 95. Had the 97, had the and perfer break barrels so that would be my next choice. Pcp for long distance and lamping springer for closer and mooching. Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
spend your money on train fare to meets, you`ve got enough guns, need to travel to the exotic locations that Davy picks for meets and then out shoot me with your boingers I traded them all in lol. all i have at the min is my hw100kt .22 My hunting/pest control rifle and a webley nemesis .22 pistol lol so i need a springer for target practice and plinking so .177 makes sense as its cheaper pellets lol but im left handed and a weird shape lol so i want a more adjustable gun, and i like heavy springers, and fancied a change from the underlevers so the 98 ticks all the boxes- heavy adjustable ambidextrous break-barrel! but then i saw that TX Quote Link to post
Gavin Webb 0
the qb78 is a nice small gun and only about £100-£110 if it only for target shooting i went a bit further and customised all the pins and air ports to give me 11-11.5ft lbs but out of box it ok for tagets an Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Why did you get shut of your springers Skot. I thought you were made-up mate! Quote Link to post
dhand62362 13
so I had the 97 KT or not KT, tx or txhc, 95 or 98. in the end I went for the 97kt which is now with sfs for a s2. didn't like the tx due to the loading port, the hw97kt has better lines. I would like a 98 for all the reasons you mention, so go with your original choice..... Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
Patience glassdropper! Wait for the 98 if thats what you wanted in the first place, your 100 wil cover all your shooting needs til it arrives. 5 Quote Link to post

davyt63 1,845
hi Skot i have shot both rifles you require and from personal experiance,i would wait for the HW98,i have a few isusse's with my TX's at the moment, but this hasnt swade my decision, and if i am not happy after my last attempt to rectify this, then HW98 it is for me for the HFT or a AAFTP900 However i shall keep one of my TX's for Vermin control,as they are a very accurate springer, and if you look hard enough, the odd left hand stock pops up from time to time my advise is wait for the hw98 then later buy a TX Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Its a no brainer to me mate. Ive shot and used all the rifles mentioned and the HW98 is in my opinion the best. Any springer that can compete with rifles at £1000 and £1400s as got to have great potential hasn't it? 1 Quote Link to post
lordnelson 8
Hi Skot. I am like you left handed and a weird shape(not so weird but large) and have just placed an order with my local RFD for a HW98 as it is adjustable to help fit better Still waiting for delivery date from him.. I did think about getting one from SFS already tuned but still dont have enough cash but Tony did say 6-7 weeks tuned so if you don't want the extra delay order from SFS 1 Quote Link to post

villaman 9,983
Hi Skot Have a look here , http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/product/764b59e31d9c79e265427103/WEIHRAUCH+HW98+FT/ I believe they are straight from Germany and if you are going to get it tuned then the HC stamp means F**K all Quote Link to post
