BORDERSCOT 3,816
Just get a rabbit skin and wrap it around a small normal retrieving dummy or something similar and you're sorted....bit of a no brainer really.... Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
For pups... wrap a rabbit skin round an old pair of socks... and tie some string round it.... nice and soft.... And as they get a little bigger.... just wrap the skin around a gundog dummy or similar and again...tie with string... Job done.... Quote Link to post

morton 5,368
Whats the best way to make one to practice retrieving. They are seldom needed, a dog will chase and retrieve a tennis ball,a rolled up sock,a cuddly toy etc. etc. with the same gusto. As soon as you attempt to make things more complicated than they need to be,the training suffers. 2 Quote Link to post
Hot Meat 3,109
im with morton on this, in all years iv had dogs an been bunny bashing iv never used a dummy or fur, use a tennis ball it helps with strike aswell at same time, then when ready move straight onto a bunny in a net or a mixy bunny, aint no hurry 1 Quote Link to post
