pip1968 2,490 Posted September 19, 2013 Report Share Posted September 19, 2013 iv just heard my youngest saying the dog has ants running around on his head so checked and he has got fleas and so has the other now these dogs live in or out but are mostly stay inside so get checked regularly,but last night while walking the dogs the pup found an hedgehog and was toying with it,so will hedgehog fleas live on dogs Quote Link to post

They call it doff and it is actually ant powder its in a big white bottle and only a could a go. The bloke who told me has used it on his chickens n ferrets for years. I tried it the same and it does work. I had a bit if an incident with fleas last week on the jr even though shes only just had a dose of that mega expensive frontline robbing bollox and the quid ago doff sorted it. If they're in the house at all you need to do the whole house: carpets, sofas all over, cracks behind skirting boards etc: even under the fridge. The larva develop in places like that, especially places which don't get hoovered much. Ditto the cracks between the boards in the kennels. Use something like Acclaim or Indorex to do this.
