Country Joe 1,411
Out yesterday to do a tree line, usually can average half a dozen, but not so good, ended up with three. had the pup with me, he is starting to give positive marks and at 6 months, is looking good. after bolting two rabbits, one into Netriggers Trammel stop net, first time i have bolted a rabbit into a trammel, thought it would be difficult to remove, but it came out no bother, should have had the camera with me. on approaching one of the trees saw four Rabbits going down, netted up and entered my Jill, bolte one, then all went quiet. Then a Stoat appeared at a hole entrance, now I have bolted Stoats a few times, and they don't hang around, they appear to be well frightened of a Ferret. But this one was different it stood at the entrance, looking at me, then casually dropped back in, there were plenty of other holes it could have escaped. there was silence for 10 mins heard nothing, which is unusual for a tree set. Then jill came out, no sign of being upset, no bushing of her tail, I knew there were still three rabbits in there, and this was an experienced worker, who always finds. decided just to box her, and moved on, leaving Mr Stoat to his dinner. Only three rabbits, but weather was good and enjoyed the half day. Quote Link to post

foxtails 272
never seen a stoat or weisel for that matter, would love to see one though, and those trammel nets iv never used one myself but have seen them in use on dvds, rabbits have no chance when the run into one of those, im thinking on getting a little set for the hedge rows.
