Can you tell me what you think is in this cross been told its a saluki/grey. 11monhs old was given him because owner couldnt handle him he is full of energy but he has calm down a hell of a lot since hes been with me. Listens to basic commands. Sit, stay bit im workimg on recall as its not so good. Just want your info

Hes calmed down so much since ive had him. Definitely a bond between us. Just trying to get recall right before he comes out with me. Last owner had 4 kids and couldnt get him out for exercise he needed. Ive had him out walking for miles everyday since he come to me and hes a diffrent dog.

My guess would be bull/whippet/grey but I've come to learn that there could be anything in a lurcher, just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

 

Could be saluki, collie, beddy and all sorts in there.

11months old got him of someone who couldnt give him exercise he needs he was very hyper when he came but has calmed alot

It's a shame the previous owner didn't know he had 4 kids when he got the pup a few months before some people!!

Yep! Definitely a LURCHER.

 

Not many Lurchers can be identified with regard to thier respective crosses accurately, unless the line has been monitored by honest & reputable Lurchermen of which there are still many, to be thankful.

 

He looks good, as much as physical conformation can tell you. Your bond and mutual understanding will be much more important.

 

You appear to have a nice dog at an age that will adapt to whatever you want from it if brought on with a little patience. Good luck with him & keep us up-dated!

I know what you mean its all to common people should understand a dog is for life. Hes in a good home now.
