Frann 882
Im a game fan but gotta agree with Socks here, no kids should be looking at some games. Some of them cross the line and no matter how "cartoony" they can be quite violent .Anyone remember The Getaway on PS2 about London 'gangsters'? Driving through Soho and killing tourists? I don't know, it was proper controversial at the time. As Gnasher said, the age restrictions are there for a reason.

Yeah i remember that, i had it! i think Call of Duty...can't remember which one but where there is the airport level, that's a bit extreme and it asks you beforehand do you want to play this level or not...IMO it shouldn't have been added but i played it anyway and i've never shot up an airport since...

The getaway wasn't that bad. When I was younger there was a game called manhunt where you could suffocate folk with plastic bags etc Then there was a game I had for the PC called hooligans storm over Europe, where you went into pubs before matches, got pissed, took loads of drugs, shagged hookers then killed the rival hooligans/riot police etc was quality Gameplay from hooligans:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXnOR6gTLUE

Sirius 1,391
I don't like computer games myself. Got into it for a while then realised I much preferred reality and times too precious too waste.,There is no way my two boys will be allowed or encouraged in my house to play games which are not appropriate for their age. All I think when a mate of mine plays games allot is 'you sad c**t' I just cant relate to it at all, they all seem to be walking around with semi's due to GTA V being released sad. Aye you had levels where you had to kill all the other hunters, then at the end you were scored out of five for how brutal the killings were

Born Hunter 17,798
Can't be doing with gaming, loved Metal Gear Solid when I was a kid but that's about it. I guess in terms of parenting though it simply comes down to which side of the fence you sit; expose your children to the realitys of life, teaching them about it the best you can or shield them from as much as possible untill they are older and hopefully have their moral compass well calibrated by then. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer...
