never heard of this x before,? only with greyhound in the mix, !

I was talking to a chap through pm's a while back and he said he ran deerhound with a bit of bull blood in them and did really well on them. I can't remember his username and want to have a talk to him again.

I think he said he kept fox hounds as well if you read this and its you i spoke to could you pm me please. It would of been earlystart you were talking to then

few half cross deer/bulls about never heard of a 3/4 bred tho, the few halfs i know of get rated well by guys i trust but not seen them work meself...

not sure on what % his dogs were. What size would a half x throw and are they quick enough?

about 27 ats i think, could be wrong tho not seen them in a while, and as for speed i never heard any complaints..

Would a good deerhound need that 1/4 bull?

 

A good deerhound should do r/h/f/d with ease. Shouldn't it?

 

And if it was for really big nasty foxes preban then half bull would probably be better?

 

I can see the advantage to having the deerhound coat on a bull blooded dog.

Would like to see a few pics if anyone has any, it must of been done at some point (the 3/4 deer 1/4 bull) ...... wonder if there would be someone out starting a new strain of deerhound.....and get all the finger pointing that Mike Brown does with his whippets.....Would annoy the kc brigade

i was talking to a bloke round our way a few years back that had a 1st x and said it was a [BANNED TEXT] handfull of a dog.had a few problems with it but never seen the 3/4 cross

Wasn't there a mention in a book of someone breeding deerhound to bull terriers. Roughly in the 70/80s?.

dint dia dogs off here have a half cross bull deer....think another lad called dean69 had the litter sister????????
