I traveled the South Island in 2011 we had a couple of nights in Dunedin cracking place but the best place I went Woz picton shooting red stags and hunting pigs with dogs and spearing eels at ngt ! My main finder (Unk) is a whippet/ bully cross about 20kg and my two big holders (bobo and Vick) are mastiff/lab/boxer/kelpie 35-40kg and when they latch onto a pigs ears it going nowhere. Bluebell H, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, the first time I was taken pig hunting I was hooked. A couple of hours walking around the forest then 15 minutes of mayhem, dogs working as a team and getting up close tipping and sticking the pig.
