Think Hunting Revolvers Will Be Allowed Back ?

Been doing a big push to acquire more and update my field revolvers . Have guns that can be used to gather small game for the fire while either switch up the load and go big for large game, ot simply swich out revolvers and get your bear or moose.

 

 

 

Think I'll be able to bring over my .45 Colt, .454 or .475 Linebagh anytime soo7n ? Itd be a blast.

You wouldn't need those calibres for our bears or moose as they are very, very small.

Even getting one for dispatch converted to single shot and with a bored barrel with no rifling is hard enough. Hand gun hunting though - not my bag although I can't say I've ever tried it... Apart from with an air pistol... What a waste of time that was!

.45 Colt wouldn't be deer legal in any case as wouldn't meet the minimum energy requirements in the UK - 1,700 ft lbs for most larger species (muntjac and water deer excepted at 1,000 ft lbs).

 

The other calibres would but there's no sign of the government ever reversing the handgun ban. The UK as a whole has a very anti-gun culture. All guns are viewed as evil as are all gun owners. Tell someone you shoot wild life over here in an urban pub and you're as likely to get a punch in the mouth as anything else. The culture in Britain is very much one of the population as a whole wanting a total gun ban.

That's so weird considering with handloads, the lowly .45 Colt can start pushing .454's into looking over their shoulder to see who's on their ass . I would use one for anthing in North America.

 

Sorry buddies, one more reason I can't sell out , retire, and move to the homeland. I need my big wheel guns. Something really cool about keeping something in a side hip holster that can bring down an elephant . Or bears, or mt. Lions ,or moose ....big power in an easily carried packaged.

Aaron, stay where you are mate, I think it's fair to say most would consider you welcome here but I really can't see this country being any better than your own.

 

I love Britain because I'm British and proud of my culture and heritage but if I was completely objective I'd say you have things pretty damn sweet over the pond in term of your civil liberties, countryside and hunting.
