bigmac 97kt 13,812
Well iv been toying with the idea of turning the stock black as i like the look of the synthetic stocks but can not get one for the raider so im going to strip her back and spray it black and give her a new name the black beauty i will start her this week and will put the photos on as i go atvbmac  1 Quote Link to post
porkycrook 466
May i add a little note. After stripping the finish, put on a few coats of sanding sealer. By putting on a few good coats, when you spray the black onto the stock the black wont sink into the grain. Making it easier to revert back to a wood finish. 3 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,812
Well first off i stripped her down then sanded the stock down as much as i could to get the stain out but it was well embedded into her vislauk did a good job on her when he did her for the last owner the paint i used was from the pound(last of the big spenders) shop i got two tins of Matt and one tin of gloss i was going to leave her with the Matt Finnish but i did not like the look of her so on with the gloss and now im well happy i used both tins of Matt paint and 3 quarters of the gloss so she has plenty of coats on her now im just waiting for the paint to dry so i can put her together im going to look for a brass trigger Gard and a brass bolt just to Finnish her off im going to let her bry for a few days to let the paint harden before i buff her up atvbmac  Quote Link to post
