KurtH 74
Well it's now 1pm... They've been open a while now and are still yet to reply to my email! Is it me being inpatient, or is their customer service simply s**t? I'll give them a couple more hours and then I'll have to give them a call and maybe trading standards! Quote Link to post

KurtH 74
Just spoke to them. They asked me to send it back and they would refund me. I told them its not possible because firearms are prohibited items with royal mail and parcelforce etc and that they would need to collect it, and the fact it would cost me a fortune to post it! Got to call back on Thursday and they will arrange collection and refund me for the rifle etc Roll on Thursday and hopefully they'll keep to their word Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Seems like you have a resolved position Kurt. Beware of any attempt to flog you something else. You want the cash back and a fresh start! Looking at the pics again, I find it hard to believe you've been sent a brand new product and this rifle seems like a second hand one sold as new. Home-botched fitting, nothing professional-looking. And I cannot think Daystate would let such any of their rifles out with a safety bolt missing. Looks too fishy to me. Hope this will be sorted as promised for you mate. Simon Quote Link to post
gosling1960 191
Think you should still name and shame very poor customer service and people need to know so they can avoid another situation like this. Quote Link to post

KurtH 74
Oh and Parcelforce have lost my 7 litre 300 bar air cylinder aswell that was from said RFD... They tried to deliver it Friday, but I was out, the card said they would deliver the next working day. They didn't show, so I called them up, and they can't find it... You couldn't make this shit up Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
What??!!! You know Kurt, you could just buy a good spring rifle from Weihrauch or Air Arms for less than half the expense and none of this worry and trouble. Pop over to my permission sometime mate and shoot with my rifles and you'll soon see why I don't have any of this faff! It was the 13th on Friday..... Not that I'm superstitious or anything....much! Keep us posted how you are mate. Can't be this unfortunate every time Simon 1 Quote Link to post
KurtH 74
I know mate. It's one thing after another. Think I might go for the cheaper Daystate Regal and get a Weihrauch HW97 too, when I can find a reputable RFD in my area, that is. Lol And thanks for the offer buddy. Really appreciate it 1 Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
I feel for you mate, I don't get some places I really don't, its not like its a clothes shop or anything, a gunshop is a specialised shop, for specialised people so they should do their most to keep customers!!..... I had a similar incident the other day...I have been buying pellets online off a certain cloudy(pun intended) retailer since I have been in jersey, the other week my range finder broke and I got a refund from amazon, this retailer was the cheapest and because their pellets are always packed well I went with them, I always have been looking at an mtc mamba lite, so I put them into the check out, selected JERSEY in the drop down menu which they have and it said for me to contact them, I e mailed, then didnt get a reply, phoned them and asked the enquiry, the guy said he would phone me back in a bit......no reply till just before 5 (I phoned at 10 am) so I phoned again and he said we don't ship to jersey because of the weight limit, because he checked Royal Mail (which deliver to jersey) because it was above 2kg he couldn't send it.... My items came to no more including packaging 1,300. He then proceeded to say that it's to expensive to send via Royal Mail even tho they insure up to £500 (I phoned RM)..... I then offered the retailer if they could send the items seperatly to get around this even tho they were wrong and they still said no.... I have written an e mail complaining and still not had any response 12 days later I then ordered from uttings and they ordered it straight away (although they are out of stock) This extremely CLOUDY retailer will not be getting my buisness ever again!!! Sorry for hijacking the forum but it grinds me nowadays when people treat customers like this yet seem to have a good buisness! Quote Link to post
KurtH 74
Sounds like you've had about as much look as me. Lol. Well, my 7 litre air cyclinder finally turned up. Still waiting for parcelforce to ring/email me back though. I won't hold my breath! Going to give the RFD a call at 930am when they open and hopefully get them to arrange collection of the dodgy Daystate today or tomorrow. Kinda want my cash back now since I paid for it last Tuesday Quote Link to post
