socks 32,253
A high drive youngster that busts a gut to get its quarry Is a great creature to watch and the pride is overwhelming when it trots back to you with its tail held high and hands you its hard earned prize ..... But there is a downside .......... Quote Link to post

fitchet 788
Still I'd rather watch a dog that risks life and limb to get at its quarry than a half hearted animal ... One of mine done this in his first year hefty vet bill but the dog wasn't too bothered Hope yours makes a speedy recovery and is back out soon. Quote Link to post
2.8 guy 403
Hi drive or a lack of self presivation is it one of the same thing?, had a dog the same was a real catch dog but had no respect for itself fractured its skull one night never ran the same after. however dogs that pull up short of walls and hadges without even trying to apply any pressure can be worse than a cringeworthy course. Its a fine line hope the dog learns somewere in between. Quote Link to post
socks 32,253
No luckily .... if it was a half milimeter deeper it would have been a fairly tasty stitch job ... But this was a salt water wash some anti inflammatory tablets and a dose of anti biotics ... Hopefully she will be ok as she has an eight hour shift to do on a rabbit job tomorrow ......... weasle 1,119
To a dog that's a scratch. Thank you vet weasel ........ Lol true though lads would be queuing up at the vets with there 100 notes two weeks off for the dog that would probally pull them out there any way.when it will heal up in the same amount of time on its own and the dog can still run. 1 Quote Link to post
