2.8 guy 403
Bought a bsa super sport .22 the other day for my daughter, got it at the right price as its got a bent barrel, was just wondering if anyone has straitened a barrel before theres a few vids on you tube but some just dont seem right. i can get it done by my mate who owns a gun shop for 15 quid which isnt far out or was either going to look around for a .177 barrel s/hand and have ago myself at straitening intill i find a different barrel Quote Link to post
slave 33
A guy i know tried to staighten one on a webley vulcan after accidently firing it whilst cocking it the barrel looked like a banana and the scope flew off. After a couple of hours in the shed the barrel straightened up nicley but the gun never shot well at all he ended up selling it not long after. Give it a go but if it was my gun i would look for a second hand barrel. Quote Link to post
bluetroutchaser1 0
For £15 I would get it done, I had a Meteor shooting 3ins left at 20yds, £20 at a gunsmith cured the problem! He apparently used a press and a bit of know how and it is now as good (or as straight) as new. A lot cheaper than a new one too, All the best, Dave Quote Link to post
