Do I need a dog passport to drive my dogs to Ireland via the ferry?

 

My sister reckons I do for Southern Ireland but not Northern Ireland.

 

Also is it true that hare and fox are legal quarry on one part of Ireland but not another?

dogs don't need a passport to southern Ireland I was there 12months ago unless its changed just ring steena line and check

if they signed off by a vet shouldnt be a problem 9/10 times they dont even look if the dog is crated up.

nope dont need passports ... hare and fox are legal in northern ireland , not sure about hare in ireland but im sure its coursing clubs only but fox is legal

No passport necessary, trains can be funny bout letting you on with large dogs,

Fox is legal quarry in republic.

Fox + hare are legal N.I

 

But outside of dublin + midlands its unlikely anyone will bother ye if you are out with a local.

its going to be a cheap night for you cause i hate f***ing guinness if you come over here your more than welcome on a night out or 2 but bring a tent as theres no room at the inn as the missus is not far off from dropping another pup out

Nope no need for passport just put dog in the back of your van or whatever and over you go, they do have crates where you park but we just leave the window open slighly.
