My thoughts go out to his family, I heard about 3 weeks ago of a bloke running over his own dog in a scooby out lamping in such a way, he was gutted and thats a dog( don't mean that in a bad way) imagine what that poor lads going through knowing his mates died. Wish him a speedy recovery.

right lads i've been off line for a while so i'll try and make things a little clearer than they seem to be at the mo...

the lads were on there way back from a normal nights lamping and were checking the last of the fields on the route home when Martin spotted something in the beam, he then give the driver the word and they were onto it in no time, they then slowed the car right down and let a dog out....then they set off again in the subaru, as the quarry turned so did they and the car rolled over (once) and landed back on its wheels, martin was out of the car and on his knees about ten feet away from the car the driver and one of the passengers jumped out of the car and run over to him, he was still very concious and told them to get him in the car and take him to the hospital, they kept him talking all the way there (which only took 15 minutes) but he was complaining of pains in his chest, they thought he had only broken a few ribs at the worst and once he was in the care of the hospital they thought they had done there job and he was going to be ok.

they phoned me that morning while they were on there way to the hospital to collect the dogs, when i got there the police were talking to them outside the hospital and Martin was inside with the doctors etc.

i took the dogs home for them.... and then got a phone call to bring them some clothes through as they were getting arrested so i dropped the clothes off at the police station and went from there to the hospital to see how Martin was...this is when i was told he did'nt make it...the car had crushed every major organ in the top half of his body and he died through massive internal bleeding.

Martin will be sadly missed and was a good friend who spent many nights lamping and days coursing, digging etc with me over the years.the driver of the car is also a good friend of mine as were the other two passengers and believe me they are all suffering allready...imo they have suffered enough and none of them deserve to be charged with the accidental death of there friend, they have all lamped together for a long time and they loved it just like i do...its just devastating it had to happen like this :(

im so sory to here of the sad lost of your friends iv been out loads of times with the boys in there subs its somthing that you dont think about realy when your haven a run god bless R.I.P :cry::cry:
