A mate recently asked me if I knew anyone for his bitch. Already working. No faults at all. Good genuine bitch. He's just not got the time to work her and his other dog and would prefer her out getting grafted than sat in the kennel. I know a few lads looking for dogs and this bitch would suit them down to the ground. But I can't hand on heart say she wouldn't get passed on at the drop of a hat. So the bitch is still with him. Sad really. 1 Quote Link to post

Sad really. definitely, if i have a dog its with me for life if (its not happened yet) i dont have the work for said dog then it would be given to a friend who could work it,sadly i dont have the use for a running dog just now, but like i say if i did i would look at re-homing a dog Quote Link to post

bobby blackheart 1,209
that bull x louie looks like he has served someone well-wtf is wrong with folk?makes my piss boil-if you dont treat them as a tool/machine they serve you for years-that dog was probably pushed and pushed worked sore until he put a foot wrong and then thrown away by some cnut that calls themselves a dogman?every animal has a limit-takes a true dogman to know when your stock has had enough and needs a rest imho. 7 Quote Link to post

One of the best posts I've seen on THL. It's ok testing a dog to see what it's made of but at the same time you need to know when enough is enough. I've also seen some very good lurchers that were neglected and cast away as no good but shown abit of time and care some can go on to make cracking animals. Poor feckers there's a nice coursing type on that page. 2 Quote Link to post
