bwfc 164
I got hold of an ace air rifle today and wondered if anyone had come across them before?.Its a BSA Shadow Carbine in .177 The barrel in the pic is shorter than pictured as it has a cocking aid on. The actual length of the rifle without cocking aid is exactly 25 inches. Edited September 14, 2013 by bwfc 1 Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Must admit I haven't seen anything like this before, how does it shoot, I take it it's a springer? Quote Link to post
Flipper_Al 1,012
Looks like an old BSA Scorpion pistol, but with a stock 1 Quote Link to post
rabbitcatcher 1 287
And similar to the old buccaneer, but that looks shorter Rc1 Quote Link to post
foresterj 1,096
I used to have one of these, scorpion with a stock, was far too small for me bit of a novelty really. Quote Link to post
bwfc 164
Yeah its a springer with very little recoil if any.Ive found that they were made for one year only in 85,and only in the UK.Rare as rocking horse poo and even more so in .177. Ive had it on the 10m pistol range today and its just as accurate as £400 pcp pistols. 1 Quote Link to post
James Cooksey 29
what power does it put out? Quote Link to post
bwfc 164
Its putting out 6ftlbs but technically you could put it up to around 10ftlbs,as it is classed as a rifle and not a pistol. Quote Link to post
James Cooksey 29
ok seems a good gun for carrying around Quote Link to post
bwfc 164
That would unfortunately devalue it.LOL Quote Link to post
tatsblisters 10,010
On the subject of old bsa guns just seen an old 1907 lincoln jeffries in full working order for sale on another site for £200. Quote Link to post
bwfc 164
Seen that too,it wont stay around long i wouldnt think.Ive had a lot of interest on the airgunbbs site where ive advertised it,but youve got to wade through a few nerds. They just want to talk about what they have, and early serial numbers etc.Theres even a bloke telling me he has all the serial numbers of the shadows sold in the uk and how many went to each shop.
