Fox Urine / Smell

i went out with a friend the other night, I'm pretty new to the hunting scene and i've been picking new things up each time I go out, the other night we were on a permission and in one area something stunk so bad....it was really heavy / strong smell, my friend said a fox was in the area and this is what the smell was.....

 

Do they really smell that bad ?? I'm aware they mark area etc but wow that was a strong smell, unless he's telling me porkys

yes you can smell where a dog fox has been marking bud strong musky smell

Foxes stink, I move them from where they are shot to the nearest hedgerow. I picked one up last season, laid it in a ditch, got back in the motor and the smell on my hand was unbelievable it nearly made me sick. I cant remember if it was a dog or vixen. But I will never forget that smell, unmistakeable. Sometimes get a whif when out lamping on foot........

....but some apparently like the smell, just the same, once smelled, always remembered!
