Malt 379
Can't see how the ref can do that unless there was a foul or an offside in the build up? The system has been tested to death for the past few years..
stewie 3,387
Never even knew they had brought it into football. When did they decide this?? been used for years in europe mate and brought into englands top flight this season.........apparently the contract is worth 100million over 5 years........ seems exspensive for a few cameras on goal posts and this is not a good start really............ If it comes out that the ref has disallowed a perfectly good goal he should be dropped.. No excuse now the technology is there to help him IMO..
the_stig 6,614
the ref had already blown for a free kick before the goal was scored---the fuss is over him not playing the advantage..

The way it sounded at first was like there wasn't any offence commited, maybe I was a little quick of the mark with this topic lol

The way it sounded at first was like there wasn't any offence commited, maybe I was a little quick of the mark with this topic lol They like to over dramatise everything on SSN! Why did they even mention the goal line tech if it had nothing to do with it? They love a good controversy and a bit of drama more than the actual game..
Malt 379
Just listening to Final Score and the reporter at the Sunderland v Arsenal game said that sunderland scored, and hawkeye said it was a goal but the ref over-ruled it and said it wasn't a goal. What's the point of spending all this money on this technology if its not going to be used. Terrible cost us a point. dont think it would of happened at Highbury to Arsenal. It deffo wouldn't have happened at Highbury Max, they've been playing at The Emirates stadium in Ashburton Grove for the past few years!
