Tiercel 6,986
Very well explained. would you not have the problem of the spliced line (2mm to 3mm) moving around the net ?...ill explain..if you splice the 2mm to 3mm and it is one continues loop (which it should be) eventually the line creeps around the net..only a bit at a time but over a season your splice may have started off at your end pin and could end up 30 yrd in any direction from that pin....that's why imo the running line should be one size only....this is not a dig at you banter as you have given a good enough reason as to why you've done it. Well, if I am to be honest the thought of that problem had not even entered my head when thinking about the problems that arise from using a heavy line. In my defence. I was trying to think how I could explain how the lines switch from top to bottom lines. You are 100% correct in what you are saying, I think that Banter will know it's not a dig, it is just a good imformative post giving information that will help some on here if they take it in. There is such a wealth of knowledge with the posters on the longnetting forum and every, and I mean every post is intended to help someone. No bragging, no bull poo, just good honest post of their own expriences with nets. TC Edited September 16, 2013 by tiercel 4 Quote Link to post
