Its about practice as well, you can gut a rab on a barbed wire fence if you lose/forget your knife.

A Stanley knife is a good a substitute for a gutting knife also as most people have one.

Aye many a rabbit ive done on the barbed wire, when ive forgot the knife.

Never tried the country mans way of bending then in half and using there teeth ?

Sorry to be a pedant mate but its Bahco, make the best adjustable spanners available to man, still got the ones I bought during my apprentice ship (1974 ) The knives I've seen at my local tool place look exactly like the MORA ones, another Swedish firm

I cant spell in English never mind Swedish , i believe bahco invented the adjustable spanner, when i worked down the pit all we used were bahco, i,v still got 3, what i can say of the knives is they stay very sharp and are very well made, atb, buster.

well last night went out and I never had my knife in my pocket which is as rare as rocking horse s--t so I had to just push gut them and still never bust any

Emptying the bladder as soon as possible after death, a rabbits p*ss is highly concentrated and can taint the meat if you don't empy the bladder.

Before you gut them mate, just run your thumbs down the bottom of the belly, between the back legs and towards it's arse and you will see the p*ss coming out and keep doing it a couple of times till it stops, job done. Do it as soon as you've dispatched bugs and jobs a good un!
