I was thinking along the lines of a spaniel to be honest but obviously terriers are handy dogs to have around but aren't they always going to ground?

dont think he wants a pack of beagles if he is hunting brambles and thick cover he is better with a cross that gives voice and is not gone 10 fields away

spaniels for me with out crossing are two bizzy at times beagle x rusell with a touch of spaniel are the best ive seen work cover

I'm looking to add a bushing dog to the kennels next year only thing that put me off a spaniel is that they don't open up on a scent I like a dog to give tongue let's the lurchers know what's happening

not all spaniel will be the same me and my mate both use cockers an they work well not to far in front give voice [BANNED TEXT] scentin it a pleaser to watch work. But every body to there own. Atb anyway lads

i was talking to a lad at the weekend about his springers and he was telling me that one of his gives tongue he was saying that the spaniel will give tongue if you actively encourage them to do so it certainly give me something to think about atb hillbilly

I have a jackxborder great bushing dog she been a real pleasure to have around Iv put a nice Lakeland dog over her she due in 3weeks if the pup I keep is half as good as she is then I'll be happy always had terriers but a friend is gifting me a cocker next time is bitch is in season so will try something new and see how we go.

She started to yap when she moves one aswell.

 

Really pleased with her progress and I believe theres more to come.

 

Cant beat a good little un when the covers tight :thumbs:
