pie-eater 377
Ive always used them as ferret food but shot one this morning and decided to try it. I gave it a soak in salt water (not sure if this is needed for squirrels?) then marinated it in reggae sauce for a few hours and it was lovely Anyone got any interesting squirrel recipes? bullx100% 681
find they taste better if left in the fridge for a good 24hour.cut meat off the bone and do a kebab on a BBQ or grill
trappa 518
Theyre lovely. Popcorn squirrel is nice, same as popcorn rabbit-very tasty. Also just BBQ them, nice as well.
brucemyster 75
Saw them eating squirrel on "come dine with me" channel 4, think it may have even been popcorn squirrel, then saw them out in the garden yacking it up nice, next day they all had bad guts, can't say it appeals to me but each to their own. pie-eater 377
Na mate I can't even bring myself to try bunny again... What put you off rabbit? Ill be trying the satay and the bbq at some time. Im realy impressed with it I was expecting it to be tough and gamey but it was realy tender with a mild taste. Not sure why more people don't eat them.
