doxhope 2
It strange how when this dog is mentioned, the stigma of it jacking always comes up..Ive never been into saluki crosses, but I have travelled to the fens to watch them, and have many friends who were preapred to travel from Ashington, Linton and Ellington in Northumberland, to the fens to race them..Obviously the dog was a good runner on the fens, but some of these lads said it was a jacker at times, on hares that a dog would have been expected to run.. Tommy 9
Lucky was a very very good Fen Dog in my opinion He had a brain and could seen to be weighing his hare up all the time he was running The people i know who saw him run were very impressed with the dog and two of the people i know saw the dog run on many occasions and never saw the dog jack The quality of the offspring Lucky has produced may be questionable.............but thats shouldnt take anything away from his Coursing ability ATB TOMMY Quote Link to post
doxhope 2
I never saw the dog running, but have these pics from the fens, can anyone tell if this is the dog? I know if might be difficult just fro these pics, but have loads more, and footage Quote Link to post
Tommy 9
That photo you have there is of A Sankeys DANCER (red Collar) The photos were taking from the British Double Handed Championship in 1998, which she won and then the weekend after she won the Single Handed Event (Forley Cup) ATB TOMMY  Edited August 31, 2007 by Tommy Quote Link to post

miles 227
Lucky s breeding: Balleregan Bobx angie, smooth saluki bitch imported from sweden by Suzie Linebacker and John Burchard. She was out of a desert bred dog that john got whilst working out there to a swiss racing champ,Gallager Brigawn was her litter brother, the kennel name is tepe-gawra http://saluqi.home.netcom.com/index.html Read about it here A brindle(there,s a lot of brindle from bob in this strain) dog out of this litter called "beanie" was put to swoop. Swoop was directly out of Merlinxeve. A dog called Joe out of this litter owned by Garry Caulfield was the sire of Lucky. Her dam was SS,s "seal" out of "del,s "luke",also bred out of the merlin and eve stuff. Hope this helps Quote Link to post

The bitch was 3/4 grey 1/4 collie (Hancock). (i know he has produced some shite but he has produced some good dogs as well). I got him from up north, off a genuine lad who works those dogs all the time, regardless of the time of year (not my cup of tea). but he didnt go out with the intention of buying a pup from the dark destroyer, he was offered it as an adult off some travellers. stay away from the travellers they say any old crap to sell a dog infact most p***y dogs i have seen are crossed with anything and everything i was offered a pup from a well know dog from some pikeys turns out this so called dog is owened by a guy 10 miles away form me hope some of the guys can help on here remmber watch out for the small hands there sure to be pikeys Quote Link to post
Gos 4
It was the sire that was off some traveelers not my pup, and the sire is the real deal. the lad was straight down the line no bull s**t Quote Link to post
